Rates

At The Rainforest Chalet, we offer guests the option of booking vacation packages, which include round-trip transportation, lodging (including a fully stocked kitchen), and tours to Cano Island and Corcovado National Park.  For guests who wish to design their own packages we also offer individual rates on lodging, transportation, and tours.

Vacation Packages

3 Nights : $1,150.00 per person

4 Nights : $1,275.00 per person

5 Nights : $1,400.00 per person

6 Nights : $1,525.00 per person

7 Nights : $1,650.00 per person

Package Includes:  Round trip air, taxi, boat transportation San Jose/ Rainforest Chalet, Full day guided tour of Corcovado National Park (San Pedrillo Station), Full day guided tour of Caño Island, Lodging at The Rainforest Chalet with fully stocked kitchen, daily housekeeping, Complimentary use of Sea Kayaks

If you would like to put together your own package, you may reserve the chalet on a nightly rate, and select transportation and tours  according to your needs and preferences:

   Chalet Rental

 The chalet is available for rent for $275.00 per night

     Rate Includes:

• Lodging for 2 Guests at The Rainforest Chalet

• Luggage transfer from our beach landing to/from the chalet

• Transport of food and beverages to the chalet

• Daily housekeeping

• Tour booking services

• Complimentary use of Sea Kayaks

After the two person chalet rental rate of $275.00,  each additional person is $25 per person per night

Food and Beverages:

Because of the transportation logistics in stocking the chalet with food and drinks, when you reserve the chalet, we will provide you with a itemized grocery list.  You select only those food items you wish to have on stock, and we'll do the shopping.  Your food and beverage bill will be added to the chalet rental rate.  When you arrive in Drake Bay, you'll find your selection on stock at the chalet.

Transportation Packages

 

If you would like us to book your round trip transportation to Drake Bay, we offer three  options from San Jose for $265.00 per person.	Option 1: Via Palmar Sur Fly San Jose to Palmar Sur Taxi Palmar Sur to Sierpe Boat Sierpe to Drake Bay
Option 2: Drake Bay Direct Fly San Jose to Drake Bay Taxi air strip to village Boat Village to Cocalito Beach	Option 3: Palmar Sur/ Drake Bay Combo Arrive via Palmar Sur Depart via Drake Bay

 We can also arrange  taxi service from San Jose to Sierpe.  Rates vary, but normally run about $180 one way by minibus.

Tours

The following tours are available at The Rainforest Chalet.  Please let us know if you would like to pre-pay for any tours with your chalet rental fee.   Otherwise, your tours may be paid in Drake Bay. To ensure availability, we recommend booking your tours in advance.

* Tour includes round trip transportation from Drake Bay, park fees, lunch and naturalist guide equipped with telescope and first aid kit.

Reservations and Deposits:

To reserve your vacation at The Rainforest Chalet simply email us at eyeshine@racsa.co.cr 

 Please include the following information with your  reservation request:

• Full Name

• Home phone Number

• Dates you wish to enter and depart Drake Bay

• How many guests are in your party

• Please indicate how you wish to reserve ( vacation package or nightly rate)

Due to our remote location, our cell phone service is at times sporadic. If your call does not go through, you may leave a message and we will contact you as soon as possible.

Once your reservation has been confirmed,  a full deposit must be received within 10 days or the reservation is automatically released on the 11th day.

Deposits must be made in US dollars either in cash via bank transfer or by credit card via our on-line service with Pay Pal.

Cancellations:

• Cancellations received 31 days or more prior to arrival date will be assessed a $100 per person penalty charge.

• Cancellations received 30 days or less prior to arrival date are non-refundable. 

• Cancellations  received 30 days or less prior to arrival date, original vacation package  may be rescheduled one time only to another date.   Rescheduled vacation packages will be accessed a $150 per person penalty charge and must be made upon original cancellation.  Offer Dependent on Availability and is Non-transferable.    

• No Shows, the deposit is forfeit, no further charge.
